I was at fault, rear ending a lady & her son in a car, in my company vehicle. My company policy limit is $1, 000, 000. The plaintiffs are claiming life changing injuries etc, but no ambulance was called & we all drove off after meeting with a police officer. I know you can’t make a guess on individual cases, but could you please tell me if I am personally liable for anything over the $1, 000, 000 limit, & is there anything I could do to avoid this. I own my own home, but it does have a mortgage, which the outstanding amount is around 25% of its value.
Thank you very much for any help you may be willing to offer, as I’m sure you can imagine, this is weighing heavily on my family, as to how it could affect our future.
