Brought to you by Zarzaur Law, P.A. - All car insurance policies have a "policy limit," which is the maximum amount the carrier will pay for an accident. In Florida, you cannot seek additional compensation from an insurance company beyond what the at-fault driver's policy limits state. Insurance companies are only liable for paying out the limits within the defendant’s insurance policy. But what if the other driver is underinsured or uninsured?

In this video, Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer Joe Zarzaur explains what policy limits are and key facts that are important to ensure that an injured driver is not left without financial recourse when in an accident with an at-fault-driver with low policy limits or is an uninsured driver.

The damages claimed by the other person against me exceed my bodily injury limits, which was 25, 000.00 per person, 50,000.00 each accident, i am told that i will be personally responsible for any payments beyond your policy limits. WHAT SHOULD I DO TO AVOID PAYING THIS INSANE AMOUNT OF MANY, SO the accident happened when i was turning left in a flashing yellow arrow light and the car hit me from the passenger side, SO I WAS AT FAULT.AND AFTER THE ACCIDENT, I WENT TO HOSPITAL BECOUSE OF MY SHOULDER AND HIP INJURY USING MY OWN HEALTH INSUARANCE NOT FOR THE CAR INSURANCE.WHAT STEP DO I TAKE.
