Показать описание
Alcohol is a man-made beverage that has been consumed for a very long period. Alcohol is produced by a special type of fungi called Yeast. This fungus degrade carbohydrates by the process of fermentation and produce alcohol.
Alcohol has many types among which ethyl alcohol is the most common, and this chemical is present in most drinks like wine, bear and liquor.
We become alcohol addicts if we consume alcohol on a regular basis.
Alcohol nearly destroys all of the body's organs, but addicts are unable to stop using it.
So lets see how we become alcohol addict?
Alcohol is absorbed into the bloodstream via the stomach and small intestine after consumption. And it has an immediate effect on the brain. Alcohol stimulate the pleasure center of brain (cerebral cortex) to produce dopamine Individuals experience intense excitement, happiness, and relaxation as a result of dopamine. Which forces a person to drink alcohol over and over again, which causes a person to become an alcoholic?
So Lets see that how alcohol damage our body
Stomach and Small intestine
Alcohol damage our all body organs, like stomach, small intestine, liver, brain, heart and kidneys etc. After consuming alcohol, approximately 20% of the alcohol is absorbed in our stomach. This stimulate the production of more gastric juices, and then gastric juices and alcohol can damage stomach lining which leads to stomach ulcer.
The other 80 percent alcohol absorbed from small intestine into bloodstream. And also in small intestine this alcohol cause slow food movement and bloating
Blood vessel and heart
When alcohol enters the bloodstream, it acts to dilate blood vessels. This causes our heart to beat quickly, resulting in a heart attack. Furthermore, high blood pressure increases blood flow to the skin which causes excessive heat loss and dehydration.
Brain
Alcohol constrict the brain tissue which increases chances of bleeding and blood clot, leading to blood clot. Alcohol badly effect our brain functions like speech, balance, judgement and memory by secreting dopamine and serotonin.
Liver
The liver is responsible for the breakdown of waste materials in our bodies. Carbon monoxide is produced by the breakdown of alcohol in the liver. This gas damage our liver cells as a result, oxygen is depleted in our liver, resulting in hypoxic hepatitis. Which is a life threatening condition
Alcohol also causes fat buildup in our liver, leads to fatty liver diseases. Alcohol also cause liver bleeding, swelling and inflammation. As a result, the production of blood clotting factors slows, leads to chronic liver inflammation.
Kidneys
The function of kidneys is to filter blood. So blood flow to the kidneys and hydration are critical for proper kidney function. While in alcohol abusers constant heat loss occurs from skin
which dehydrated the body.
When blood flow to the kidney increases, the kidney cells begin to suffer, Due to which wastes start to accumulate in blood. And the quantity of electrolytes, such as NA and K, is also unbalanced which lead to kidney failure
Muscles and bones
Our muscles are made up of protein, While alcohol inhibits the processes that produce protein,
As a result, alcohol abuse causes muscle weakness and cramping. While in bone Ca strengthen our bones. And absorbed in bones by the help of vitamin D. While alcohol interfere in the production of Vitamin D. Which results in low calcium levels in the bones, resulting in bone thinning. Due to which fracture chances increases in bones
Treatment
Recovery centres are available in every country to treat alcoholics. Where these peoples are treated. Beside this some medications like naltrexone, Acapmrosate and disulfiram also controls pleasant feeling of alcohol.
