Always good to have your friends around to take a video of your last moments.

Thank you for posting this! We left that beach that very day. I went for a walk around 6am we were gone by 10am. My grandson was playing in that water the day before and me, my daughter and son in law were out in that depth of water!! That is so scary. I'm glad no one was hurt.

Unbelievable how long it took everyone to alert the guy in the water!!! Just laughing and chatting away when every second could be the difference between life and death. Imagine that was you or your loved ones!

This should read shark feeding in its natural habitat, not shark attacks blood bath. End of the day there was someone stood right next to it and it completely ignored them and didn't even react to them as they ran for the shore....our natural habitat.

Great Hammerhead shark around 18 -20 ft (calculated by the size of it's dorsal fin). they mostly are hunting stingrays when you see them coming in hot in the shallows but i have seen them chase after tarpon & other kinds of fishes & whatnot.

If you had any idea how many and how often sharks swim by you...

Hammerhead having lunch, I LOL when I heard the woman say “I think it’s a great white 😂”

Another way you can usually tell if it's a hammerhead is the movement- that really quick back and forth kind of zig zag is signature hammerhead. The ends of their head, where you see their eyes, are kind of used as turning points and they will swivel their entire body around quickly on that point and then quickly around on the other.

As a Surfer, here's some Shark 101... Follow the Food Chain. JellyFish usually bring in the Skates/Stingrays & the Skates/Stingrays bring in Sharks... Sharks usually won't Attack a Human, unless it's a Case of Mistaken Identity. So, when I see ALOT of Jellyfish, I keep a Close eye on my Surroundings & If there's ALOT of Skate/Stingray Activity, I'm not chancing going into the Water & being Snacked on... However, It doesn't always Follow the usual "Chain of Command"... Bc, if a Shark is Chasing a Skate/Stingray, it'll come into Shallow Waters to deter the Shark, NOT to Feed on Jellyfish.

So, Words from the Wise: "Respect Mother Nature, especially the Ocean". I grew up w/ my Great Grandmother ("Gram") ALWAYS saying "1 Day the Sea will reclaim what is her's".

I was swimming just about 30 feet away out of your video when this happened.... I have another video that was given to me on the beach from another person right next to who ever filmed this....it was pretty crazy.. I was an Ocean lifeguard in San Diego for 23 years and have seen a lot of commotion in the water from mass rescue chaos to active drownings to vessel accidents, dolphins jumping into waves and even sharks thrashing around but not this big a fish and the blood in the water so vivid... I watched for about 10 to 15 seconds and when that hammerhead hit that tuna and blood was in the water I boogied into shore...

Where was the Shark Attack and “blood bath”? This video is merely of a shark eating something that is not a human.

Your video title is misleading.

Hammerhead after a ray of some kind… probably.

Blood Bath(?). Good job paddle boarder, for paying attention. That was a BIG one, a 2’ front fin & it’s a long way to the tail fin!!!⭐️ STRAIGHT OUTTA TEXAS

How many times do I need to watch before it gets to the shark attack and blood bath? 🙄

Great footage. Definitely a Great Hammerhead judging by the dorsal fin but not 100% sure about the prey. Not a stingray but a billfish judging by the head sticking out of the water, maybe a marlin or sailfish.
