Falafel [Vegan, WFPB, Family Friendly] || South African Youtuber

We love falafel! I love using this recipe to sneak some greens into our kids. It's a great way to incorporate kale or spinach! Not a traditional falafel - just the way I like it! I hope that you'll give it a go and enjoy!

Ingredients: (makes approx. 26)
1 cup dried chickpeas - rinse and soak overnight & it will double in size (you will end up with about 2 cups for the recipe
1 onion roughly chopped
Fresh parsley - a handful with stems removed
1/2 bunch kale/spinach washed, stems removed and roughly chopped
3 cloves of garlic or 1 tbsp minced/crushed
2 tbsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground coriander
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp cardamom
1/2 tsp chilli powder (optional - we used kashmiri chilli)
1/2 tsp baking soda/bicarb
ground black pepper
1 cup oat flour
Salt to taste or 1 tbsp miso paste

Roll into balls, place on a silicon mat or on baking paper.
Bake for approx. 15mins at 180C, turn and bake for another 5mins.
