A worldwide pandemic has broken out. The President of the United States makes a video to reassure citizens that all is being done to deal with it. And the Washington post fact checks the five minute video in a critical and picky way to make him seem like a liar. Great job, Washington Post, great job.

1. Just because Europeans do not know the time of the announcement does not mean that Trump has not been contacting Europe about the disease
2. US cases are about 5% that of Europe, and even with some possible undetected cases, it is safe to say that the US does not have nearly as many cases as Europe
3. Trump has talked about the EU which has not introduced sweeping travel bans. Only individual countries have travel bans.

5. It would be unrealistic for Trump to state the exact details of a travel ban in a concise statement like this. Also, the Schengen area is the entire area of Western Europe except the UK, hence, all the areas that have been severely affected by the virus except the UK. So this travel ban is just as good as a whole Europe travel ban and WP is being nitpicky here
6. If one defines "foreign" as something whose origin is not in the US (which is the standard definition, really), then there are "foreign viruses". This one was only present in China before the outbreak, and thus has an origin not in the US. If this virus is not considered foreign, then nothing is.
