Those numbers are way off they are making the numbers look way better than they really are

The facts are in the specific use of words. For example, infanticide is illegal. However, it is perfectly legal for a doctor to evaluate a patient of any age including newborn and make a decision that there is no way to save the life of this individual, therefore he or she will be kept "comfortable" until death. When this happens with an older individual, the desires of that person, any advance directives, etc. are taken into account and it is perceived as their right to make that decision. When it happens with a newborn, the parent(s) and the doctor make the decision. I've seen this in hospitals with severely deformed infants. I've also seen doctors in the NICU try heroically to save an infant and after full evaluation, to decide that the situation is not compatible with prolonged life and stop all invasive or painful care. There is nothing to make me doubt that if a child is born alive after an attempted abortion, it will likely fall into the category of "put it aside and do nothing other than keep it warm." There is a huge legal difference between not rendering care and actively killing an individual of any the difference is in the choice of words while the ultimate result may be the same.

While I have no personal experience with the number or control of immigration, I would again surmise that the various figures given depend on who is doing the counting and for what purpose. How does any individual or agency begin to have any idea of accurate numbers on "got aways?"

As Steil notes in his letter to Benson, “Transparency is especially important for mail voting, which the U.S. Supreme Court has found to be more vulnerable to fraud than in-person voting. Allowing observers to watch the processing of mail ballots guards against potential fraud and promotes public confidence.”
