What's up guys, it's Chuggs! In this video I show you how to enable 120hz on any monitor on the PS5 and it should work the same way on the XBOX series X! You will need the EDID HDMI adapter, but other than that, it's cake! I Hope this solves your issue. If not let me know if you have any questions and I'll try my best to answer them.

If your display is 60hz or if your display is 120hz and the HMDI port on the display is limited to 60hz (some manufacturers do that) this WILL NOT make your display become 120hz and WILL NOT display more then 60 fps! Your HMDI port or display is a bottle neck and you CAN NOT remove the bottle neck with an external device! If your HDMI port is capable of 120hz then this isn't needed at all and your just adding latency!!!

It will only trick your console into thinking its display 120hz which may leave you worse off. Lower resolution and added latency.

THIS DEVICE IS PRETTY MUCH A SCAM!!! The only possible benefit would be if a game can only enable performance mode if its connected to a 120hz display. (Again a 60hz display can not display more then 60fps) and a glitch occurs in resolution mode that doesn't occur in performance mode.

I can say this just fixed my problem just like he said once you plug it in the screen goes black for a second, Then Bam back and my monitor can even confirm its in 120 hz as well now. Thank You man!

Tip~disable hdcp in settings under system first before plugging the Edid in 👍

Does this work with an elgato hd60 s setup ? Or will the elgato still limit you to 60fps. My monitor already supports 120fsp when ps5 is directly connected to it btw! Hope your day is going well

Hey @chuggs I have the alienware AW2521HF and when i try this it says "The current input timing is not supported by the monitor display"

Yup! Was going to comment that I figured this out!!! So happy. I know the singles are back ordered in the US, I bought in a pack of three so I have two extra ones! I am so mad about this with what I have been going through because of it with buying different monitors 😡😡😡.I had a perfectly great Acer monitor that was way more capable of doing this framrate, but I had to get a LG that is more expensive that works with the PS5 without that.I feel Sony did this cuz they want you to buy there TV's that do this.I could be wrong, but that is the only reason I could think 🤔 other then laziness of fixing the problem...
