Why angle the bristles to push up between the gum and the tooth? It’s a great way to damage your gumline and push bacteria between gum&tooth.
The neck of the tooth/end of enamel&beginning of dentin are best not attacked.

Y’all need to be more specific growing up never went to dentist because no cavities blah blah. But I’ve been brushing too hard and never knew because I never had cavities or problems. Now I see receding gum lines. I’m so thankful I caught it before it got really bad.

I brush way longer than 2 minutes! I like to make sure I’m thorough because I don’t want anymore cavities or other dental issues!

I’ve been brushing like this since I was 8 and now my new dentist told me I’m doing it wrong and supposed to “flick” bc my way of brushing is dated. I was like I’ve never had a cavity since using the method I learned when I was 8 but dentist said it can cause my gums to recess? So now I’m left with well how do I brush now lol
