How to Change the Default Google Account on Android

To set the default Google account on your Android

1. Add the new account: First, make sure the Google account you want as the default is added to your device.
2. Remove other accounts: Sign out of all other Google accounts on your device, leaving just the one you want as default.
3. Add back accounts: Once you've set your default, add the other Google accounts back if needed.

I googled this issue, and all the sites I've read give the same solution as this video. Seems crazy that Android doesn't offer an easier way to switch the primary (or default) account.

What doesn't work for me is that I have recently realised that my Messages app is linked to my subsidiary Google account and NOT my chosen default account! It's still a mystery.

Every few months for some reason it switches again to a different acct. When I go to purchase monthly gold pass on clash of clans it defaults to another acct and I have to do this again. I have like 12 Google accts on my phone it's annoying having to switch all the damned time

Next time, please do a shorter video, way faster, and even more blurry, so there's even fewer possibilities of getting what one is supposed to click on to arrive to whatever point exists in Android/Google universe to add existent accounts. I could do it easily on all my old phones. The new one, it's effing impossible. It simply does not allow it, there's no way to sign out either to try to sign in with the other account, mission impossible.

I don't know why Google suddenly defaulted to an old college email address but it won't let me back into Google or You Tube or anything else. I have no access to that account anymore and now everything is connected to it including my banking information. I don't want to delete the account because there are pictures and important emails that may be lost. Can anyone help

What should I do with the data from the other accounts? Before setting this up

There is 100% a way to change the default without doing all of this because it somehow happened to the phone I'm typing on.

I had my personal email as default for years and then I changed my Google Account in Maps to reply to see some reviews.

Now, no matter what I try to do, it always reverts back to the email that I don't want to be default.

I'm not sure if I turned on/off sync or what, but I know for a fact that I did not sign out of all my accounts in order to change my default.

If I can figure out how I did it, I'll record a video, haha!
