For anyone who happens to read this, it’s okay to give yourself a break sometimes. I’m currently in my 2nd year of med school studying for my board exams and there’s day where I get nothing done and can’t seem to focus, even after taking my adhd meds. I’ve come to realize that’s my body’s way of telling me it’s had enough and needs a day off.

One of my classmates and best friends gave me some of best advice I’ve gotten so far in school. “Sometimes the best thing you can do is nothing”

Listen to your body and don’t over work yourself ❤

I was so proud of myself for doing so much, yesterday, and it was puzzling when my inner wisdom told me to rest today. Now, it makes more sense.

I've been stuck in that for years. Of course it's not just that but everything got so much worse after the pandemic started. Now I've unlearned how to be a human being.

That is what it looks like too. Maybe I'll pick a few things up and move them around, but its mostly just very aimless, know there is something to be done but it never quite happens...

After spending every second of the entire weekend ruminating on the amount of catch up work I had to do, so that I am prepared for another week of working twice as hard to get half as much, I find myself Sunday morning at 4 AM scrolling YT to soothe the shame of completing 0 items on my please dont fire my list when the algorithm serves up this timely video. It is so validating ro feel seen. You are a Godsend my Brother!

While it doesn't always help... And don't always remember.... I try to remind myself that resting/ unwinding/etc are things that need to be done for many reasons

I don't have ADHD but I gave autism and narcolepsy and I constantly have days where I plan stuff out and then get nothing done as I can't face doing it
