EARLY AUTISM SIGNS IN BABIES (actual footage)

Autism does NOT have a look but this is what Autism looks like to us in our autistic toddler Liam. Our 1 year old toddler has been diagnosed as moderately to severely autistic so here are the early signs of autism in 20 month old toddlers. The signs of autism in babies or toddlers aren't always easy to tell but if you are concerned or unsure about your child, please contact their physician. Early intervention is key

We are a fun family channel who do daily vlogs, shopping vlogs, cleaning, homeschooling, and autism showing what a real large family looks like!

I didn't know anything about autism when I first started watching YouTube there are a lot of different channels that talk about their autistic children but you really explain it to a point where anybody could understand you have taught me so much and I do appreciate that

Thank you for helping educate people. My son was diagnosed at 13, after years of me thinking that I just suck at parenting.

Holy cow this was not only very informative but I love how you edited it and put it together. This was a really great video. My niece gets her results tomorrow from her eval. She is 3. Your videos are always helpful for me to ensure I understand her as best I can

Great video! You are really well-educated about ASD and explain so well. I’m a pediatric SLP and early intervention provider. Liam is adorable! Love those ginger curls!

Thank you for helping other moms!
I didn't have hardly any help but a couple of books and papers, like Eating an Artichoke--that book described my high functioning Asperger's boy to a tee! It really helped me get the help I needed for him to get him diagnosed and treated!

Thank you, Steph.  This was very informative and enlightening.  I, too, hope you will consider doing a similar vlog on Noah.  I have learned so much from your honest and interesting presentations about your sweet children, but can just imagine the amount of time you had to spend to produce this concise episode.  It is very appreciated!

I have a son who is now 40 who is autistic. I wish this sort of video had been available when he was a toddler. I knew something was wrong but I had no idea what.

My 2 year old son does the EXACT same things as Liam. He likes to hold car keys in his hand and walk around with them. My son has his next doctor's appointment very soon....definitely going to get him evaluated, This video actually helped me. Thank you!

This is a great video, thank you for sharing your experiences. Liam's mannerisms and behaviors are so familiar and bittersweet for me to watch, my own son had almost exactly the same delays and mannerisms when he was Liam's age. His language was mostly words he would echo back and practically non-existent, he had the same stims (especially the head shaking) and he seemed to be in his own world. Now my son is a healthy 16-year-old junior in high school, on the honor roll and looking at colleges, driving himself to school in the car he saved to buy, and holding down a part time job. He still has some struggles with higher order social situations, but he has friends and a well developed sense of humor and he functions like any other high school kid.

Early intervention was absolutely essential - my son had occupational therapy, speech therapy, physical therapy, and behavioral therapy...in school and privately. My son also had hippotherapy (OT on horseback) which addressed his low tone and poor balance and helped him meet his goal of riding his bike. It's been a long road, but so incredibly worth it!

My unsolicited advice to all the parents who are concerned and navigating an autism diagnosis - become your child's fiercest advocate. Learn about the IEP process at school and find out what kind of supports the school system must have in place. Respectfully request all therapists (school and private) communicate with other so the therapies are in sync. Do not believe that your child is the sum of his or her diagnosis, a diagnosis will never accurately predict what your child is capable of. You got this, your child is capable of so much with you in their corner. ❤

Tfs, my son had many of these signs as a baby/toddler and even still now as a teen. Liam is too cute 💙

I knew my son was autistic at 2 months old. It was heartbreaking at first but 3 years later we are having so much fun
