Does My Baby Have Autism? | Autism in Babies and What to Do
Показать описание
Dr. Mary Barbera discusses autism in babies, and how to tell if a baby has autism. We’ll also talk a little about autism in siblings and the risks involved.
A question I get asked frequently is “does my baby have autism?” Many times, the answer isn’t so simple, especially since babies are sometimes delayed in development, but they don’t necessarily have autism. Another child with autism could have similar skills, but one might catch up, while another may regress even further. In today’s video blog, I’ll be covering how tell if a baby has autism and what signs to look out for. While autism symptoms in babies can vary, parents should follow the CDC milestones to best identify when and where delays are present.
I’ll also provide some strategies on what to do about autism, if you feel your child may have autism or is showing many of the signs. Parents should also be aware of the risks of having a second or third baby. Can a second child get autism? The answer is maybe, there is a good chance it can and a good chance it can’t. I will discuss this rate a little bit in this week’s video too, so you don’t want to miss it!
