The next factor in building good muscle tissue is you need to ensure you’re eating enough. 🍳

And what I mean by enough isn’t just overall calories , you need to be eating enough of the right things too.

So first thing you’ll need to do is to work out your maintenance calories and if you’re unsure how to do this follow along because next video I will explain how.👍

If you’re not even managing to eat your maintenance then you need to start there.

Making sure your protein intake is between 1.6-2.2g per kg of bodyweight and trying to spread that across 4-6 meals a day.

Then I would suggest to stay as consistent as possible for around 6-8 weeks and if things don’t seem to be changing , for example small increases in body weight, better strength in the gym more weight and more reps , more energy and you’re sleeping well between 7-9 hours , and still not much physical change then you are still not consuming enough for the body to be able to grow.

So from there you will need to slowly increase by 100-200 calories and test again.

Now I know it’s scary increasing food , worried you’ll get fat but you don’t need to “get fat” as long as you’re doing around 8-12k steps and not eating crap , but you do need to understand you require body fat to be able to support your muscle growth and joints when training and having body fat is different to being “fat”
