I will just clear some misconception, jinns are sentient beings living in an alternate dimension, they aren't monsters or beasts, they can feel, think, talk and choose .
just like us humans they can choose good or evil, they live in cities and towns, have jobs, religion, laws, wars ... and just like us they die.

hey there, middle eastern here.

I wanna add few pieces of information about Jinn, my ancestors practiced witchcraft and dealt with Jinn to the point that they ran a business through it (we don't do it, plus it's so illegal that you'll immediately get executed. however I know how to in case you're curious). I know there is no reason to believe anything I say since I'm a random person in the comment section, so it's up to you lol.

it's true when you said that Jinn can't be physically killed, but there are ways to kill them.
the first method is by the Quran or the Christian and Jewish bible and this is only in extreme cases of possession when the Jinn refuses to leave the body. I know many people will disagree because those two changed over the course of time, but they're still holy books and do have an effect.

The second method is by another Jinn, usually when a Jinn breaks the Jinn law of possessing a human or showing themselves to a human (there are probably other reasons too since the Jinn all share different types of law based on tribes) they will be executed, which is why most stay inside the human body.

Now not all Jinn are evil, just like humans, some are good and some are bad, also many have different religions such as Islam, Christianity, and Jewdisim, among others.

There are more than 3 types of Jinn actually, first you have the fire, water, earth, and wind types (yes insert avatar joke).

Those are the most common types, and each type is very different than the other to the point that when you do a spell, you need to know which type to invoke in order for them to carry out the spell (i use the word spell loosely here but its mainly the jinn doing what you want, like harming someone, having them love you, etc. "spell" is just more specific).

As far as I know, only the earth type lives among us, as the wind Jinn lives in high mountains, and the water Jinn lives in the sea.

There is also a type that lives specifically in your house, those are called "the inhabiters", roughly translating the name lol. Those take the image of the people who live in the house, a perfect replica, except they are "mirrored", for example, if you're right-handed and have a mole on your right cheek, then the jinn that looks like you is left-handed and has a mole on their left cheek.

Those are good Jinn, they exist only to inhabit the space that overlaps where your house is so no other Jinn or demons would be able to live or even visit. They are so good that many witches need to force them out of the house in order to do a spell or summon a Jinn because "the inhabiters" would prevent the Jinn from visiting, thus nullifying the spell. And the only way to kick them out is by abusing the Quran and literally "burning them" so they can leave, once the spell is done, they are summoned back into the house (if you don't summon them then you are screwed lol)

I don't have a lot of knowledge about the other types because even Jinn fear and avoid them, my great-grandma worked as a "witch" (btw you are not born a witch, anyone can become one lol) said that the other types of Jinn act more like animals, they don't think, they just act out based on instinct and many don't even have a shape. Through all my research into my family's old "business", I couldn't find much information on them.

All Jinn can shapeshift into animals and humans btw, however not all can, it requires a lot of skill to do so, and only older and powerful Jinn can do it, and even then it's not a perfect shapeshift. due to the nature of jinn being born of smoke (or the tip of the flame as some might suggest), the shape they take almost always has a flaw.
most of them just possess animals since its less taxing than possessing a human (puts a lot of stress on them and the human, they feel like being suffocated)

As far as i know, there are three reasons why a jinn would possess a human, it's either that the human harmed the jinn willingly or unwillingly (going to their home and vandalizing it for example), the Jinn was summoned and was told to do so or the Jinn is in love with the person (those are a whole other story lol). Also, a Jinn can't say no to something when they are summoned, the whole "deal" thing between a human and a Jinn isn't actually all that true, while there are some extremely rare cases to why a Jinn would willingly want to help a witch out, almost all Jinn summoning is forced upon the Jinn and is basically a threat to them "do this for me or I'll burn you lol"

you might be asking "why doesn't the jinn fight back?"
If a witch protects itself properly, then they can't be harmed. The irony here is that all witches are condemned to an eternity in hell, all use the holy book to invoke and protect themselves from the Jinn.

There is a part that I really want to shed some light on, the reason why humans can't see Jinn is actually due to the king of Jinn asking god that he doesn't want his race to be seen by humans, there is no mention of a war between humans and Jinn actually. when I double-checked this fact, i was surprised to see that it was a very widespread rumor online, even in Arabic forums.

I really enjoyed your video and found it to be super fun and interesting, I really hope you don't take my comment as a negative thing, I just really wanted to share some info seeing how interested you are in stuff like this.

I can share more detailed information about them if you like, but It's a lot lol.

stay safe and take care!

I think supernatural's version of the jin was really scary. Where whatever your wish was you got it. But you don't realize that you're just unconscious and the jin is slowly eating you alive and your wishes are just figments of your imagination while you slowly descend into death.

I am muslim ❤️ here, in arabic : jinn is devided from the source word ijtinanan in the meaning of “ikhtifaä” = being unseen .
Plus we believe they are made of fire, the first jinn ever created “ sumia”

Jinnie is the male, female is : jinniat (female “t” is unpronounceable) with the stress in the n in both, while jinn is plural, Jinn’s babies breastfeeding is up to 12 years, can live up to 1000 years or more, we believe that they are made of negative energy, electrons, though.. there are always kind jinn and bad ones

Thanks

I grew up on djin stories my father used to tell me about the encounters he had and some of my uncles too. What is so scary about a djin is how they can shapeshift into anything really but there is always a flaw in their disguise so subtle and once you notice it you are done for, the only thing you have then is faith and the holy quran. My grand father allah rest his soul once told me a story about finding a sheep and he decided to carry it home and as he was walking with it, it started getting heavier till he heard it speak from the back of his ear asking if it's getting too heavy.... also once my dad was by the river side and saw a humanoid creature with no genitalia who quickly jumped in the river and never resurfaced. We also have a story about a djin that turns into a dog in this big vineyard who'd hunt you down with mighty speed and force foe years no one could walk through it at night.
P.s: i am from Morocco.

I love the idea of Djinn creating storms like you mentioned. That people back in the day used to think that storms were actually the product of multiple Djinn battling each other. That idea is so cool.

fun fact: the word for "Crazy" in Arabic is "Majnun" which comes from being possessed by a Jinni.
