I'm glad you mentioned that the Djinn were widely known in *pre* Islamic Arabia because far too many people in the west consider them to be uniquely a part of *Islamic* folklore; when in truth, just like *most* monotheistic religions, Islam co-opted them from that of the pre-existing *pagan* religion after they forced everyone to convert.

Jinn have free will like human, he doesnt have to follow you orders and ask you to wish, but only if he was generous with, the jinn who prisoned in lamp or bottels are did something wrong and punished for it, some of them make new life and start the good bath but imagine if they are not change what will do for with you, of course jinn live every where with luxury life with the power of magic, they have family and children and religion too, they the most powerful creatures after god and angels.

I'm pretty sure a lot of people know about you needs because of Disney's Aladdin but here's the funny thing about Arabian Nights there's actually two Genies in the story and they have unlimited wishes Aladdin lives with his mother and he's Asian along with many other characters better we never see and Journeys that we're never adapted into Disney's movie version or in any of the sequels

Just a small correction, *Alam aljin* is an Arabic word that translates to the world of jinn, which is something tricky to go for. But for a explanation to where they live, in the Islamic culture, they live among humans on the same earth.
It is important to mention that there's a small misunderstanding when describing them to a non Arabs, we tend to say they're the equivalent of a demon, yet; the meaning of a demon in Islam, is that living being from Jinns and humans who is bad and mischievous, the good ones from both are simply human and jinn.
Something else necessary that I felt needs to be corrected is that the jinn do not know the future which is something that was clarified in Islamic history by the prophet soulaiman peace be upon him.

Did you know.. Jinn aren’t just folklore, but they are taken very seriously in the Quran!

In it, Muhammad is heard preaching by them and some become Muslims.

Yes, IN the Quran.
