I don't know if you've taken AP Comp Sci A before, but my school just gave out 5 steps to a 5 and it honestly covered everything. The barron's went into too much detail and the princeton review had quite a few errors... I think APCSA is more of an applicational class not much as to a memorization class so for that I would also recommend 5 steps to a 5! I used it and I got a 5!

And also, I got the 2017 AP Physics, Chemistry, and World History Princeton Review books for this year, so I'll be taking the 2018 exam, but do you think it'll make that big of a difference since it's not the newest editions? ADVICE NEEDED: Taking ap environmental, ap psych, and IB English for junior year. Should I go for AP U.S history? I find the content interesting but I'm unsure of wether to take AP or IB... and I heard it's one of the hardest ap classes to take- maybe I should just take regular to ensure an A for my GPA?... any thoughts?

Hi everyone, I'm in a tight situation here and I would like some advice. I'm currently a freshman going into sophomore year and I'm taking the only AP offered at my school next year, which is APUSH. Fitting this into my schedule is difficult though; I want to take two math courses (Algebra 2 and Pre-Calc) but to fit in APUSH, I have to self-study Algebra 2 and take the final in January. I have to get a 90 or above in order to pass, and if I fail, then I can't take APUSH anymore. This happens because I have to take Algebra 2, but the only Algebra 2 class that semester is in the same block as APUSH. Yeah it's annoying, and all of this involves so much risk into my GPA and stuff, but I think I can handle it. What are your thoughts, and is there any advice you have? Thanks!

I disagree with the review on ap chemistry prep books. Princeton review has downright incorrect and poorly explained information on thermochem and equilibrium, which are some of the hardest topics. Barrons is much better and I use it in conjunction with MIT OpenCourseWare (MIT posts their lectures online and they are a blessing for anybody who doesnt understand the concepts). Side note I have not taken the AP Exam yet, but my Chem teacher has an amazing passing rate of 0% so I've been teaching myself everything!
