If you need help studying for your AP Exams (AP World History or AP U.S. History) then here are the four tips you need to help you do well. Remember that the AP Exam is a skills based assessment, so if you know all your content, but haven't practiced the skills, you're in for trouble.

However, in this video Heimler gives you the four main tips you need to focus your study for your AP World History and APUSH exams. And the truth is, this strategy works for every AP exam, so if you're not in either of those classes, you can follow the same tips as well.

hey anyone in the comments studying last minute-
you're gonna do great
and even if you don't
it isn't the end of the world
I promise that getting a 1 on the exam will not ruin your life
the most important thing is to be healthy
have a great day!!
(I'm ngl i'm telling this to myself more than anyone else)

You got me a 4 on APWH last year and now I’m back for a 5 on APUSH. You do so much.

Notes from the video

1. Adopt the AP test mindset
youre tested on how well you can think historically and not just content so don't start studying content first
2. Know your grading rubrics (DBQ and LEQ)
read and know it well
3. Take practice exams
once a week from teachers (AP classroom) or in a review book
4. Know your content
ditch your textbook- will overwhelm you and have content you don't need
use CED (course exam room description)- can be found online where college board outlines everything that could be on exam; anything not on it will not be on the exam
- look at learning objectives& illustrative examples (know at least two of them)

The Princeton Review books are the best. I learned everything in a week and got a 5 for APUSH, and I knew nothing during the school year.

Heimler really is my saving grace in history classes. Last year I managed to squeeze out a 5 in AP World thanks to binge watching his videos during quarantine. And before every test I have in APUSH this year, I have to watch his review videos. Thank you so much, Heimler. You’re doing god’s work.

"don't start studying a week before the exam"
me reviewing everything the day before 😗

Edit: I got a 2 on my AP world ;;
I'm a sophomore now and I'm taking the AP Euro exam on friday, started studying last week. I feel like I can get a 5, but I still wish I've started studying earlier lololol

EDIT 2: I GOT A 4 AND I FELT AMAZINGLY CONFIDENT DURING THE EXAM!!!

Got this in my recommended the day of my Ap exam after I already took it. What a big brain move YouTube, thank you for enlightening me that the true, and best time for studying for a test is 4 hours after it’s completion.
