This Enkanomiyan tragedy took place long before the Archons were even on teyvat and it seems most of the Archons are elemental beings like Venti who is a wind spirit, Zhongli is a mountain dragon and this one is unconfirmed but it's said that Ei and Makoto were born from a thunder strike, so it's possible that the Archons came to being with the Children's Leyline memory juice as a base for their creation.

It's a stretch but possible

As for me, Tsurumi has the scariest and the saddest story. Knowing, people lived through the same day for years... and Ruu, dying every few days and remembering all the years he spent like that

One potentially dark secret that I think is over looked is the head housemaid of the winery says,

Add that to the fact that there's supposedly a secret room in the building and some people are seen entering but never leaving makes me think they're eating people.

this piece of lore reminds me a lot of The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas, a short story about a utopian city where everyone is happy but it comes at the cost of having one child locked in a room with little food and no social interaction. it's a really interesting piece of philosophical literature and is one of the strongest criticisms of utilitarianism

Ruu's story will always the saddest one for me that makes me cry a lot. Poor child he deserves the best. I hated what those villagers did to him yet he still wants to do the ceremony 😢
Chouji's life also made me cry. He's just a kid yet he has to think and act like an adult ever since his father died/killed then his mother left him to go look for Chouji's dad believing that he's still alive. Genshin really loves to make very sad and gorey stories when it comes to children

Enkanomiya, lore wise has made me cry the most. Especially after the sunchildren quest. Abraxas' trials and his dialogues were so touching

Sunchildren and Ruu 🥲 Ruu's story makes me want to die inside. I can't even go to the island without being sad

the quest for the sunchildren and enkanomiya were the ones that struck me the most, out of all the world quests in genshin. my heart ached when the caretaker told about the stories of those sunchildren. also the part about the one who built the artificial sun. enkanomiya quests made me feel a lot and i enjoyed them the most. maybe those sentiments of mine are what made me enjoy exploring enkanomiya.
