My background already comes out white and not checkered. So every time I do this no color changes

Hello, great video, thank you! Question, when I did this in PS, I was aiming for a 1" border, so I entered 2" in each spot. The border seems to have come out as a .5". When I entered 4" in each box it appeared to come out as a 1" border. I just ordered a couple test prints, so will see. Which dimension would I use to achieve a 1" border all around (square image).?. Thank you!

My border isn't checkerboard it's solid so when I try to change the color it covers my whole photo. Help!

i guess double tapping the layer and doing an inside stroke would cover up some of the image

Hey Aaron... I have a question:
I originally cropped a photo and saved it.
Then i wanted to creat a white border around the photo.
But when I follow your instructions, the canvas size does get bigger... but to the original background that I deleted?
Its not working like its intended :(
