The kakuni restaurant is open for 2 to 2.5 hours a day, around noon, then a different restaurant takes over for the evening. While I don't know if they serve just 15 portions a day, kakuni is the ONLY menu item, split into a Standard and Premium. So, for 1, 700 yen minimum, I doubt it's an everyday lunch meal, more like a once a month treat. Just for clarity, I haven't been there, nor am I Japanese, I just read an article about this place a while back.
