In today's video I am sharing with you a food prep for the month, where I try new recipes, explore flavours and get prepped for the week ahead.

For me sustainable living is always about cooking from scratch where possible, valuing what you own, introducing minimalist ideals by keeping our space free of unwanted items and lowering our waste wherever possible. Zero waste living is something I strive for. Meal prepping for autumn, learning new skills and minimising wherever I can. I hope you enjoy this calm cooking video!

heating the berries in a saucepan and then mashing them also works for jam, although it does result in a chunkier texture

I found the Ultimate Traybake Ragu recipe online and gave it a go with a dutch oven like you did. I omitted pearl barley and used sunflower seed mince instead, I used chestnut mushrooms instead of oyster mushrooms, and half of dried porcini mushrooms (cause they are expensive!), but it still turned out to be amazing! Thank you for sharing and anyone wanting to try this recipe - you don't have to buy Ottolenghi's book - the recipe is out there on the internet.

Everything looks great! This is how I eat, too - a 10+ year vegan. Lots of beans and tofu and some packaged food sometimes! 🇨🇦

When my sourdough starter needs a boost I give it a little wholemeal flour along with the mostly white flour. But I do feel the struggle when it’s cold!

Really good delicious ideas here, thank you...especially the tofu dressings. I make the berry jam every week too...with a mix of ground chia and flax seeds, the juice of an orange or satsumas for sweetness. It makes my breakfast...a game changer!xx
