I have a indoor outdoor antenna, I get up to 40 channel including pbs and I live in a hilly area . I also get local channels. I Also watch local news on you tube free. So that means if I want to pay for internet ONLY which I think is 80i I'm not sure of price, I still have to pay for internet if I want you tube and at this time we need internet right now coffee shops are closed cause of pandemic

I don't think I want to be governed by whats running on TV when it comes to consuming information with no way to skip forward or backward unless you invest into expensive DVR, and the commercials, such a time waster..ugh. We have no control over TV contents. But with Streaming services and online news sources, it appears we have control over information we feed ourselves. I have subscribed to local news channel on youtube, and they update their feed like non-stop every 3-4 hours. I dont regret not having to watch it realtime at all.

I am checking news and weather on Roku channel for my local station. Is there a search to narrow this down?

There is absolutely no difference between a digital antenna and an analog antenna. It is all frequency dependant. Long before the switch to digital, I purchased the largest yagi TV antenna that Wingard made so that i could receive the the TV signals from Mt Wilson (near LA) which is 100 miles away, line of sight. I installed a mast mounted preamplifier (I've tried several and the Winegard low-noise preamp is the best) and a TV rotator. I still get 140 station on a channel scan. Granted since the change to digital, most of the channels are now on UHF and I no longer can get signal from San Diego and Mexico. Also only 40 are in English, but it still works.

I recommend Cloud TV like YouTube TV I love Google. I think that people need to get YouTube TV so that they can watch tv anywhere and that the TV Channels is alrighty backup in the clouds.
