MicroNugget: How to Configure iSCSI Shared Strorage for ESXi

Показать описание
In this video, Greg Shields covers the steps for configuring iSCSI (Internet Small Computer System Interface) shared storage for ESXi. He’ll show you how to create a new VMkernel with a separate switch and explain a few of the options you have as you configure this interface.
Once you have the networking configured in your ESXi server, the next step is usually to connect it to network-based storage, which often takes the form of ISCSI-based storage.
Greg starts with iSCSI storage that’s already been provisioned and exposed to the network, then actively demonstrates how to configure ESXi to connect to it. He’ll kick off the “add network” process and create a new VMkernel connection type, which is typically used for things like host management, VMotion, or NFS.
Although you don’t have to use a separate switch, Greg will show you how to do so in case you want an isolated switch.
