You made a 10MB disk instead of 10GB (think you guessed that though) but the principles were sound, thanks for an informative video.

For Starters..ISCSI is only available to one computer at the time..not like a NAS..But adventage of SAN is that appear like they are localy attached to computers..So keep in Mind that only one server can access SUN storage..To other servers it appears like they do not have those HDDs. It is commonly used in clustering when just one server at the time access storage, so if he failure other server then can use this disks because they are shared.

Very helpful video. Is it possible to setup Win2k8 Initiator to a Win2k3 target?

Dude.... you created a 10Mb target... I think the minimum should not be 8gb like you stated...
Good video... LIKE ||=

I would suspect that iSCSI should work regardless of operating system. If you can setup an iSCSI target on a W2K3 server then any iSCSI client should be able to connect, assuming all patches are up to date.

Could you please give a link to this version of the iSCSI Target software, 3.2 thanks. I cannot find this version anywhere, only 3.3 :(

Doesn't work. What server are you using that has that IP address? Is it the server hosting the storage or the server accessing it? I put my IP in and it doesn't resolve it. To note, my DNS is working fine.

Hey. The 10 gb vhd gave you only 9mb of usable space after initialising ? Any idea why?
