That was a New York 8.2, so adjusting for inflation that's like 8.9 - 9.1 territory for Cali pizza. Monster score.

Not entirely weird hours. It's how most classic Italians operate their business. It's called "Riposo" (to rest) or "Pisolini". They close down the shop for a few hours in the early afternoon. They return home to share a big meal with family members. Kick their feet up, grab a little vino, pick kids up from school, take a quick nap, whatever. Return later when the 9-5ers are done, and open up shop again until night. When I first moved to Italy, it was strange as an American. But I got use to it, and I respect the health (physical and mental) benefits of it.

This has been my go to place for a few years now. Happy for them. Sucks it’ll be harder for me to get my pizza fix though! Both slices are spectacular. I’ve been raving about this place for years.

I called it last week when he was going to those shitty pizzeria's. Apollonia's best NYC style and Detroit style pizza in Los Angeles hands down. Dave's score 8.2, but on an LA scale it's a 9.1. This place is the shiznit.

Went here a few weeks ago with a friend, got a 20in cheese and a pepperoni burrata hot honey square slice. They must have taken notes because this cheese pie was the thinnest, crispiest pizza I've had in a very long time. Solid 9.2 hands down (for LA). Gonna go here again and again and again

I don't think I've ever seen him get a name right lol. he reads it like 5 times and says it the same way with confidence every time. still never miss a review!
