I’ve been eating Maruca’s for over 60 years and I love their pizza. The cheese has a little sharpness and sauce is rich which adds up to a great taste. Joe and Donnie have taken over for their parents and carry on the tradition.

Epic Pizza. I spent the entire summer of 2001 working across the boardwalk from the old Maruca spot and they would give us $1 slices. It was a great deal; fueled my 16 year old self!

I've been hooked on Maruca's pizza for 50+ years!! They make the absolute best! I haven't tasted a better pizza from anybody! Maruca's are in a league of their own!!

And sadly when the camera panned to the ocean, before Sandy, you couldn't see the ocean for all the boardwalk games and booths. The 100yr old carousel that was there that was destroyed by the fire a few weeks after the storm.

Growing up Jersey Shore, I would confirm boardwalk pizza 🍕 to be another category. Also, I think everyone would agree true boardwalk pizza is down in quality a little though decent but what makes boardwalk pizza is the size always giant slice, like it's gimmicky- you're at the boardwalk; there's rides, games, special boardwalk specific snacks like funnel cakes, deep fried oreos, salt water toffee, and giant boardwalk slice pizza.
