I always loved the non existent drag chute coming out of the F18 in that movie

Yes you are right, but in this clip the hornet is being chased by an alien 1847326th Gen fighter that has lasers.

My issue is pushing forward on the jet means the jet is getting lower in altitude. That means the jet is in denser air and the drag increases on the jet.

The lower you get the faster you fly through fuel.

Zulu, you got an alien after you man, it’s not the time to say air is thicker and bullets travels shorter situations

I was born in the ‘80s and wanted to go to the Naval Academy to be a pilot my whole young life but I had no idea that you can become a pilot even if you wear contact lenses or even glasses because I thought Gs would not allow for that, and I didn’t want to get Lasix, because they consider 20/30 as successful (with my contacts I see 20/15) especially living here in Fightertown, U.S.A./San Diego, California, but when university time came, and the latest thing was the Ethernet cable, it took until too late to come across the Navy website that said you can be a pilot if corrective lenses give you 20/20. Biggest😡moment ever. I got accepted by West Point, but I went to UCSD instead. That’s life 🤷🏽

How is pushing forward on the stick going to reduce drag on the jet? You’re descending into thicker air.

Do lasers work better in thick air or thin?

Very useful, now how do i turn it on ?

This doesn't make sense the enemy gets the same benefits if he follows you.

Why do you fly lower to outrun the enemy if the air is thicker? Youd go slower? Or do you just push forward go down so gravury assists? Or does max speed not matter over reduced bullet and missile range?

I'll trust Hasard for the next alien invasion!

I would think the missiles travel less when higher altitude because the rocket motor get less oxygen?
