Here are 5 of my favourite (not THE 5 BEST) gai tod restaurants and street stalls in Bangkok.

HAT YAI GAI TOD KHLONG SAN:

Stop 2: The best place to find cheap food is by a University, so we've headed down to Srinakharinwirot University (มหาวิทยาลัยศรีนครินทรวิโรฒ ประสานมิตร) to try the best Thai fried chicken shop in Bangkok (in our humble opinions). We also tried some shrimp paste rice and a mataba at the SWU Market.

Stop 3: We also went to an amazing fried chicken and fried pork stall outside Klong Thom Center and if you're into gai tod, it's a must hit spot!

Stop 4: I then headed to around the corner to Soi Polo for some Michelin-recommended fried chicken at Polo Fried Chicken (ไก่ทอดเจ๊กี)

As a person just back from Hat Yai, there is no fried chicken like it anywhere else, and not any 2 are the same there.
If you are a fan of fried chicken than you will love Hat Yai

Nothing beats the chicken on a stick from a street seller and some Som Tum. The fried chicken on the street was always not seasoned.
