Been sparring a lot lately was always scared of it when I was younger but now it's the funnest part of training to me and I always make sure to show up sparring day! I worked my left hook to the body and landed it several times on some pros and my coach. A good move to try to develop imo

You're by far the best YouTuber in martial arts. I've been doing kickboxing for over a year, and finding you was one of the best things I've done. Thanks a lot for what you are doing master. I wish you the best. Greetings from Venezuela 🙌

Took my first leg kick in sparring, I’m walking with a little limp today haha

Hi, Gab! Can you please make a "Beginners Guide To Sparring" or "How To Start Sparring" video?

This would be helpful for beginners who are scared to spar because they don't want to get hurt (or show up at work or pick up the kids at daycare with two black eyes and a busted nose!).

I've learned so much from your videos. Thanks and keep up the great work! 😃🥊

I think you should also be physically prepared and in a good shape, especially if you are hard sparing for the first time. what suprised me most was how energy draining taking as well as punshing at 80-100% is. So cardio is super important; you dont want to end up being gased after 1min 😅

I love the diamond cup so much, it’s saved my life and my future haha

Only started hard sparring two weeks ago. First session took three leg kicks right at the end of the session and I couldn't train for a week. Cloth shin pads below leather makes so much sense.

Jesus Christ these are good tips. Especially the second one I wouldn’t have though that would help I would probably bang my face to get psyched up but doing it with actual intention. Thankyou for sharing Gabriel

So funny you uploaded this today. I did 5 rounds of hard sparring today. In the last round I was pretty tired and caught a good shot above my right eyebrow. I couldn't help but think to myself "If I was in better shape, I would've dodged that" lol. Gotta up my cardio.

I guess groin protecion is THE MOST important piece of gear in each sparring session, not only in hard one. I hope you realize it before getting hit there, not post factum.
Keep safe and enjoy your training!

Water, salty food and WATER hours before. And lots of water the 2 days before.
Good sleep the night before using routines (important to make you find solutions for competitions).
Prepared quality fatty food in small servings for healing (3 meals prepared/2 days prepared. comforting too if you got owned lol). Plus cooking can help with cognitive anxiety the day before the fight.
Preparing ice so that you have enough of it post fight if needed. (Icing = 10 minutes ice max and 15/20minutes no ice, as many cycles as you want as long as you're not feeling cold).
Hard sparring close/around the full moon.
Having goals.
Herbs and spices and water and massage after the fight.
Long steam bath or normal sauna (normal duration aka less than 20 minutes) on day 2 and 3 after the fight.

No diuretics to 'help healing' (🙄).

No sexual activity after a tough fight (2 days minimum if you won, 3 days minimum if you lost/got injured). GF/waifu can be nice differently for the warrior to rest. Minimal sexual activity before hard sparring fights/pre-competitive weeks.
Watching videos of the fight day 2 post fight, not sooner. In the morning.

Thanks for the tips man. I was thrown in a situation where I didn't know I was going into hard sparring last week. I thought it was just regular or light sparring and dude tried to knock me out. It was a much more experienced fighter, and fortunately I was able to take the shots.
