I googled it, the McDog was a limited time item in the 90s and they tried to bring it back as a seasonal item in the summer of 2002

So it could be this man hadn’t been to McDonalds since the 90s and assumed they’d still be selling the McDog. Either that or he was old enough to have a memory problem and he was mentally stuck in the 90s but in the sad way not in the blissful way

I worked at McDonald's and we had a lady launch a complaint against us for giving her mayonnaise not mayo.

I once got yelled at working at Hardee's for not having Burger King chicken nuggets. Kept trying to explain to him that it wasn't Burger King and where he was, thinking maybe it was a medical emergency or something, for ten whole minutes (I was young) before he punched the counter and called me the "R" lmao. 😂😂😂
I still giggle about it years later. Hardee's doesnt even carry chicken nuggets 😂

I worked at Micro Center and these 2 women come in saying " We want security cameras. They need to be 4k, wireless, no bluetooth or WiFi cuz we don't want them gettin hacked, no batteries cuz we ain't finna wanna charge no batteries, and no solar cuz we be needin that shit workin at night" and when I explained to them that's literally impossible cuz you're gonna need wires or batteries to power the cameras, and if they don't want Wifi or Bluetooth then they'd definitely need wires and they said " Lia we seen't them on the website, just bring out all the cameras you got in back and we'll look for them" I told them how we have an entire 8x20x30 section of our warehouse filled with security cameras and there's no way I'm bringing all that out and told them " Go ahead and use one of the display computers to find these supposed cameras on the website and I'd gladly go get them. They spent half an hour pretending to look them up before I asked them if they'd found it yet and they just left

I had a woman insist my shop sold goat meat. I’ve worked there for nearly 2 years, and been shopping there for at least 7. I have never once seen goat meat there. She insisted that she’d bought some there recently. Madness. Goats meat is not common in my area, you’d have to go to a specialist butcher for it

Felt the McDogs man. I had an old lady give me more sass than a mean girls parody while asking if we sell fruits? Bananas? Do you take requests? Ma'am this is a Walgreens, our milk expires a week after we get it, we're not selling produce. There's a Safeway across the street- "no I don't wanna go over there" you're asking for Walgreens to remodel into a grocery chain and then getting pissed that I'd suggest an existing grocery chain. Just suffer then.

I’m a McDonald’s front counter guy, half of the time, when I take an old persons order, they make their drink, come back and look at me shocked and say “you’re not gonna go back there and make my food???” And I always give them the same line “I work front counter” and they always catch some sort of attitude. Also, if they’re over 50, they look at you like you shot their dog when you tell them a McDouble costs 2.49

I worked at Wendy's. People got us mixed up with McDonald's all the fucking time, so people were constantly insisting we had apple pies, dollar sodas, etc. But the funniest of all was a woman who went through the drive thru and asked for a fried spring roll. At Wendy's. And she wasn't going down without a fight, either. She sat there and clogged up our drive thru for probably 10 minutes as we went back and forth, her demanding to speak with my manager and get me written up. Finally, I had a light bulb moment. I said "oh, m'aam, do you think you're at the Panda Express across the street?" She growled, is the best way to put it, and then pulled off without a word. I saw her in the Panda drive thru immediately after 😅

I still don't know how she stared at the menu that long and still had no idea where she was.

It's hard to verify that "dutch unemployment union" fact, but the original poster posted a picture of a book or news article about an unemployment Committee in Nijmegen from 1978 where members raided the town hall to take all the food they could find. So at least some truth to that, but more research to be done.

The McDog does exist but isnt sold at every location. There was a time when it was sold. They also used to sell spaghetti.
