What Is The Dumbest Olympic Event?

The Olympics is the most prestigious sporting event in the world - apart from the annual Cheese run, of course. But with all the various sports and events in the Olympics, what is the worst? In this video we look at a small handful of candidates for the worst Olympic event currently in practice. We also look at some former events that are just plain weird!

I disagree with you about the steeplechase, I think it's bloody awesome. It's easily the toughest run you could do, 3K is a horrible distance without the obstacles, because you're almost running out full speed the whole time. And those barriers have no give in them like hurdles do, so if you hit one, you are going down. It's nasty but I really respect the guys who run this. And personally I would give them a lot of recognition

I used to be the backwards walking champion in my home town of Bolton, Lancashire.
The confusing thing was that I arrived at the ‘start’, after I had begun, giving the impression that I had actually lost when, in fact, nobody else had started.
Coupled with my professional stance as a tiddlywinks champion at university in the late 60s, I suggest my portfolio is to be envied. 👍🇬🇧👍

According to Bobby Hill, speed walking is the only Olympic sport endorsed by the American Association for Retired People. I'm not sure if that's true or not, this is just the second time I've ever even heard of this sport. The first one being King of the Hill.

Bro if you say that race walking and steeplechase shouldn’t be Olympic sports you surely never tried them.
Both of them are super difficult, for practice them you need to be super resistant and in the race walking in particular you have to stay concentrate from the start to the end because if you make even one wrong move you can be disqualified.
If you ask to an athlete if they think that this two disciplines are less important then the other they will respond with a NO
