The back design, definitely is not inspired by France... Is the goddess of win, Nike, Panathinaic Stadium & the Acropolis in Athens. Original designer Elena Votsi. The French added the Eiffel tower. And the back design is the medal design used in Olympics Athens 2004 and after that is in all Olympic behind side medals at 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020 & 2024 Olympics.
