This video is part 1 of a 4 part series where I sit down and interview my friend Dr. @David Wood of @HatunTashDCCIMinistries, who is also a diagnosed Psychopath who has converted to Christianity. In this video, we talk about how David Wood understands loving others as a Christian who doesn't have the "feelings of love" that the most of us share.

I am a Christian diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder and have a 7 year strong marriage with a diagnosed Psychopath who is also a Christian and we have a very healthy relationship inspite of our unhealthy psychiatry. We make it work because we promised God we would.

Can we just talk about how a diagnosed psychopath is on YouTube having a meaningful conversation with a friend about love and how it pertains to loving his enemies, wife, and kids? And how he takes it deeper and describes it as something truly selfless as opposed to majority of "civilized society's" romantic ideas?

Like . . A psychopath is more loving than the majority of self-obsessed people in the world right now.

Come on, man. Only Jesus.

"When you read that you were a psychopath, did it hurt your feelings?" Lol

This is amazing to me. Most people use the "feeling" of love as their motivator for the loving acts. That this man loves without that motivator is so beautiful to me.

Also Christian diagnosed psychopath. David is spot on. Marriage is going to be a good one. That issue is incredibly difficult some days.

He probably understands love more than normal people actually even though he may not 'feel it'

This guy is living proof that Godly love is an action, not just a warm fuzzy feeling (as he is incapable of the latter).

"Love is doing what is best for the other person..." so many people out there think they are being loving.

I'm pretty sure he's right. Jesus said "If you love me, keep my commandments" - This likely implies that loving someone means to obey them and guide them rightly. You can't just 'will' yourself into having 'warm feelings' for someone, but you can, by all means, pray for someone, help someone.

David Wood is incredibly intelligent, he's physically huge and to top it off he doesn't have the ability to feel remorse. A very daunting person. I'm glad he's on our side. God bless him.

Very healthy and enriching conversation. A psycho teaching so called normal people how to love. Smh. Only Jesus can do this. God be praised. God bless you two.

Absolutely. Love is an orientation of the will. Jesus did not feel warm and fuzzy about going to the Cross and being crucified. He prayed to the Father, not my will, but your will be done. Thank you for sharing this video

David is one of the coolest, most beautiful displays of God’s grace I’ve ever seen! Praise and glory be to Him!

Amen. People tend to equate love with a warm squishy emotion. Then when they fail to drum up nice feelings, they don't know where to go from there. Love is action and a state of the will, not just sentiment. They also equate love with permissiveness. Which is why we have so many screwed up people walking around.

Dr Dizzle is the jams! As someone who also struggles with mental illness he is a massive inspiration in life & in faith. He is a stellar example of how God can & will use anyone, even the seemingly most broken among us!

That's awesome. I have a personality disorder, and sometimes I think other Christians look at mental health problems as antithetical to being a Christian. But I don't, we all have our particular sins that haunt us, and isn't it wonderful that God can save even me.
