To me, this is the most difficult movement. Trust me I can do deadlifts, front/back squats, bench press pretty well. I am also very good at power clean. But when it comes to full snatch and overhead squat, I am like a crushed pencil. I think it has some thing to do with my mobility!

to all graduate students trying to break down the motion for advanced exercise i recommend changing playback speed to .25 it really helps slow down the motion to see all the components.

I just started CrossFit and this move is so darn hard to do! It's very frustrating! Here she makes it look so easy lol. I'll get it one day #CrossFitGoal

Struggling to get this. Why would I bring the bar overhead only to drop into a squat to then return it overhead? I’ve just started and the second movement seems pointless-what are the mechanical advantages of the snatch?

Before start to snatch, you should have a good flexibility, i saw a lot of bodybuilders to try this and go to the hospital lol....

Is the overhead squat needed? Because until i go super heavy i can get it up no problem without the squat. Just wondering if thats legal or not
