Jubilee really needs to expand beyond LA. Really limits the ability to capture a "spectrum" or "middle ground".

As someone who has family members who are evangelical, these seem to be very progressive evangelicals. If there was a spectrum Midwest or southern version of evangelicals the views would be drastically different. I’m curious to see if there would be a bigger difference with younger people from region to region.

This is the most progressive set of evangelicals I’ve ever seen. I wonder how many people Jubilee needed to interview to get this group.

I have never seen someone make a point on a spectrum video that made 3 people cross the floor. Damn!

It would have been interesting if they actually got evangelicals from the south and not just California cause most evangelicals are not like most of them.

I'm surprised people aren't talking about Alyssa. She is very understanding and see how, even though she is set in her Christian beliefs, that is not a reason to cause harm to the rest of the world

Would be interesting to see Jubilee interview folks from the Dharmic religions (Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Jainism) in America. Would be great to have that representation as well as diversity in thought!

You can tell Angel has come a very long way in the last year, especially in terms of stepping more into himself as a gay person. I like that he's starting to question things that he might have thought were black and white before, and I hope he continues that growth.

As an atheist, I must say the ladies and Angel were some very liberal Christians.

I also like how they were very well spoken and how they approached these questions objectively.
Also really like how Angel is a listener and is so guided by empathy and openness that he is also able change his mind when confronted with new information that may goes against his previously held view.

Definitely appreciated Alyssa’s responses to all the prompts. It’s the type of maturity and humbleness I would want in my pastor.

I applaud Jason for speaking boldly what the Bible says while still being gentle

I grew up Catholic and one thing my family taught me is to never trust someone just because they can quote the bible. Even the devil can quote the bible, he knows it well because he was once an angel.

Honestly, Jason is the most biblical out of everyone.

I'm fascinated by Alyssa. She's so calm and seems to be really understaning. I really like the way she talks too, she gets her points without being aggressive; what she says just comes out as super clear beacuse she seems to be very informed about what she's talking about and to care about what she has to say, her message.

As a prior church kid what this video has shown me is Evangelicals are moving away from the word (bible) in which they claim to follow and creating a version of it to best fits their needs. Which isn't fair to nonbelievers, people should be rightfully informed on what they're getting into so they can make a proper decision. The fact that only one person stood in Strongly Agree when asked if Christianity is the only path to Salvation is a indication of this.

I am SO glad that Spectrum is back. I didn't know if Jubilee would ever revisit this series and I missed it.

You can’t claim to be a Christian and “loosely” follow the Bible. You can’t pick and choose what you want to believe. Completing missing the point.

I clicked on this video because I recognized Angel from a previous video years ago where he was claiming homosexuality was a sin to be essentially "prayed out". It's amusing to see him go from "I can control the gay" to 3:44 "I'm gay!". But most importantly, I'm happy for him no longer trying to suppress that side of himself

I am an atheist watching this, so take it for what it's worth. Some folks in the video wondered why LGBTQ+ people would often not feel safe in Christian spaces. But a lot of the time in the video is spent debating whether or how or why being LGBTQ+ is wrong. So, why would an LGBTQ+ person feel safe in a space where that topic is debated - is their existence wrong, or is it only that they choose to act on their existence? Put it this way: if there was a space where a LOT of time was spent debating whether Christianity is wrong, a mental defect, naive, or benign - even if they decide after all that discussion that it's benign, Christians won't likely feel comfortable in that space. Why? Because no one wants to be in spaces where their acceptance is constantly debated.
