Writes “I the worst of all” in her own blood. The drama, the charisma, the uniqueness, the nerve, and the talent

Her traits makes her sound like a fictional character but she's not and it gives me goosebumps to know such kind of person actually exists. True queen material right there.

Came here expecting a nun going on a murder spree.
Left pleasently surprised

"I, the worst of all" written in blood on a letter. If that's not a rebel and metal move, I don't know what is.

The fact that this is the first time I heard about such an important icon disturbs me.

Here a piece of the poem shown in the video:

"You foolish men who lay
the guilt on women,
not seeing you're the cause
of the very thing you blame;

if you invite their disdain
with measureless desire
why wish they well behave
if you incite to ill.

You fight their stubbornness,
then, weightily,
you say it was their lightness
when it was your guile."

That’s a shame. She was an intellectual individual and a kind sister. Overall a great person, too bad the era wasn’t on her side. Damn.

I clicked on this video thinking that she'd literally be the worst nun.

But she turned out to be the most badass and iconic nun in history.

As a fact, in Mexico City, there’s a university with her name, “Universidad del Claustro de Sor Juana” (Sor Juana’s Cloister University). This institution is one of the best to study Art History and Gastronomy in all Mexico. This complex was a cloister, inaugurated in 1623, in here, Sor Juana stayed most of her life writing and learning, alongside other nuns. It was in 1971, when it was declared a national patrimony and eight years later it became a university, which is still in function.

This was a short version behind the history of this historical building, hope you liked it. Have a nice life. ♥️

My grandmother was from a small village, but she loved reading and read all the books in the school's library and even borrowed books from her teachers. She wanted to become a teacher or a librarian, but her parents didn't allow her and sent her to study trade. Even now at 72 years old, she has a bitter smile when she talks about it. Never limit your children, regardless of gender

I'm Mexican and read a lot of comments saying that they never heard about Sor Juana makes scense because nobody teach the historical persons of diferent countries. She is a really icon in México and everybody who works or study literature knows about her books and work even in school we know her and we read her poems, I loved this video this is a real pice of knowledge and art just forgot to mention a few things or curios facts like she was in a secret relationship with the queen of Spain and she send her a lot of beautiful poems.

My mother quoted Sor Juana’s poetry throughout our life and read her poems, among others, to us at bedtime. May they both rest in peace.
