I learned in another video, that in the american military the knife-hand is stage 3:
1st stage: 9mm (index finger gun)
2nd stage: .45 (index+middle f. gun)
3rd stage: knifehand (4fingers pointing)
I like his videos, but I would not follow this advise. Not in the US at least.
