GERMAN ALPS TRAVEL GUIDE ⛰️ | Visiting the Most BEAUTIFUL Place in GERMANY! 😍

Greetings from the German Alps where today in our travel guide we’ll be showing you around Berchtesgaden National Park, Germany’s only alpine national park, which may also be the most beautiful place in all of Germany.

This is a place that I had been wanting to visit ever since I learned of its existence, and I knew Sam would be happy with a quiet nature escape especially when the scenery looks like this! Give us mountains, forests and lakes any day of the week and we’re a happy couple.

We spent a total of 3 nights based in the town of Schönau am Königssee and we made the most of our time here with plenty of hikes around Berchtesgaden National Park, a boat tour on the emerald waters of Königssee, a cable car ride up Jenner Mountain, plus we just had fun befriending the local farm animals and enjoying rainy picnics with mountain views from our balcony.

Trip details:
We stayed in the town of Schönau am Königssee.
Our guesthouse was called Alpenpension Bergidyll.
The hiking trail on the first day was Malerwinkl.
We took the Jennerbahn Cable Car to Mittelstation on the second day.
The boat trip on the third day was done with Bayerische Seenschifffahrt starting in Königssee with stops in St Bartholomä, Salet, and a hike to Obersee.

I live in the vicinity of Berchtesgaden! For the last 2 years it was part of my job as a "Gebirgsjäger" to hike the mountains all around this part of Germany. For me personally, I like the mountains most at bad weather conditions. It feels like the mountains come to life! And of course there are less people on the mountains which makes it so much more enjoyable haha
