Each country has traffic code related to using fog lights. In Poland, you can't use rear fog lights unless the visibility distance goes below 50 meters.

You MUST NOT use front or rear fog lights unless visibility is seriously reduced. I think its less than 100 metres in uk, as they dazzle other road users and can obscure your brake lights.
Don't use them in rainy days
