Why would the battery light still be on after changing alternator and battery?

Thanks Jose! Swapped mine out today for less than $100 w/ coupon from Advance Auto. Last time I had one replaced in the shop it was almost $500. Sweet!!

Great video. I changed alternator on my 2000 4 runner with 243, 000 miles. A tip that may help anyone replacing Thierry alternator. To get easy access to the wiring harness on the back. I took mine alternator loose and was able to disconnect the the harness. I has enough slack in the wires to turn it over and used a small pair of channellocks to to hold in the clip and work it out. Thanks for the post.

I watched the YouTube video you posted on installing an Alternator on a1998 Toyota 4Runner V6. I had to replace the original Alternator, so I had to maneuver my way through small spaces with my Large hands. Anyhow I did it and I thank you for sharing this great video for everyone to use as a guide to saving money! Yea, you were right about disconnecting the wire harness it was difficult, but I finally got it done! My wife had her doubts about me succeeding, but it was your video that gave me the confidence to get ur done! Thank you very much

where did you get that new alternator voltage plug. The grey connector with the yellow, red, and white cables going into it?

great job, very informative video, helped me change my alternator. unfortunately my charging wire is bad at the connector, and is the source of my problem. do you have any idea where i can purchase the connector?
