i had to do this a lot for my little sister, and it hurts to to know she had to go through it. there’s some relief knowing she didn’t heard the terrifying things that were said, that went down. i have to protect her from my parents, my mom sometimes and i’ll do it forever. but sometimes i want that protection, because i never got it when i was her age. and one promise i made to myself was: i’m never going to let her go through the same sh*t i go through

This reminds me when my family messed up so badly.

In that morning my dad and my mom was fighting, my dad's sister was also there, she is actually just want to pay a visit (i hated her back then and still hated her now, because she is nosy and always says bad thing about my mom). i was nine and my little brother was three. i cried on my bed, then came and hugged me trying to comfort me, he doesn't understand what happened, i cover his ear because my parents are shouting.

but now we are ok, our parents didn't fight anymore, sorry for venting lol

I constantly had to do this for my little brothers, whenever my parents started fighting I would take them on walks around our neighborhood and once I got my driver’s license I would take them to the park or to go get ice cream. We gotta protect the little ones❤️

Always care for them. If you’re older sibling or if you’re on your own (only child) then it is abse. Back in the day abse wasn’t a thing. Always care for you’re siblings or yourself no matter what ❤
