My sister always protected me when I was younger (she is 6 years older than me), until she got moved to another family and I didn't. It exposed me to a huge amount of abuse at once which I hadn't noticed as much before. That was when I realised what role she played in my life, she wasn't only my big sister, she was my protector. I didn't get moved to another family because I was just a kid and did what my parents told me, even if what they told me was to lie to police about what happend at home. Over time, they managed to keep me quiet by convincing me that everything that happend was normal. I won't lie, I felt betrayed by my sister for years. She left me. But what kept me going was the fact that she maybe would enter my life again, which she did.

I have been without abuse in 2-4 years now, still healing. But my sister is back in my life and it feels good.

My parents (bio mom and stepdad) Are in their "Honeymoon" phase. They got married back in June (this year) and all my mom does is yell at him saying "I DONT NEED HELP JUST GO AWAY! IM FINE" And stuff like that, In their daily fight today my mom said "DO YOU WANNA BE RIGHT?! OR HAVE A HAPPY MARRIAGE?!" I dont want my mom to throw away another marriage again and I know she wont its only been a couple months and it's normal for this to happen... I think. Our dog (Trixie) always comes into my room and lays with me until it's over, Whenever she comes in I just start to cry cause I just feel so bad, She doesn't know what's going on and it breaks my heart into 1, 000, 000 pieces everytime. I'm currently laying with her rn, My parents arent fighting because its pretty late and they usually fight after dinner so they can fight when we (my 2 brothers and me) are not in the same room.

If you share a similar experience with me then I hope they finally find out how to sort out they're own problems in a more peaceful way.

from experience this is horrible but i never had siblings, friends etc to protect me.. but this acting is brilliant its the forced smile when holding the headphones which made me go wow! but im sorry for anyone who has/had to go though this 😔
