I'm in the middle of exiting and I tried this method and it caused rage. To the point where he was in my face screaming with fists balled up trying to get a reaction. Do I keep using grey rock?

Narcissism is a spectrum. A lot of people have narcissistic tendencies in varying shades of severity. Going completely No Contact is an appropriate goal for full-fledged narcissists, but a lot of people are not full-fledged. Picture a mom who is definitely somewhat narcissistic but she ultimately still really loves her kids and is there for them but also manages to make most things about her. Is it appropriate to cut her out of your life? Maybe it’s better to use Grey Rock when she’s having a narcissistic episode, and maybe that’ll improve the relationship overall. Narcissism occurs on a spectrum. It’s not black and white.
