I am doing a 1 to 10 ten times so technically it's not 100 envelopes challenge but it's my own take on it. You have to do what works for you, Shadavia. And you are right it's hard when you have debt and low income. You are very intelligent 👌

Now this is real. I’m low income and 100 envelope is a little too much for me. Also, I have too much debt. So I shifted my focus on debt and stuffing my emergency fund. This way don’t give me anxiety. Great video!!!!

I definitely believe any debt should be cleared (if possible) before doing any big saving challenges

I'm doing mine digitally (transferring to savings account from current account in the set amounts) mine will take longer than a year. But still better than nothing. I think you did the right thing to pay off debt. 👍

Great job on savings and the decision to pay off credit card 👏 you inspire me and I tried to do 100 envelope challenge, but since I'm new to budgeting, that was just too intimidating 😳 for now, I will stick to small challenges 😉

I’m currently working on the 52 envelope. Once that’s done I’ll put it into the 100 envelope filling in the larger ones first. No time line on this. If it takes me more than a year I’m ok with that. You did a good thing paying off your card.

Awesome savings Sha'Davia! 🥰You have to do what works for you so I totally understand. It is great that you had enough to pay off your credit card so that is a win! I will be doing the 50 envelope challenge twice to pay off my credit card and will use any part time income, unexpected money, and from what I can set aside from my full time income to help me complete the challenge. I have had to start my emergency fund over at least three times that I can remember. I will be saving my raise to rebuild my emergency fund.

Great video 💕 I’m going to do this challenge but I won’t try to finish with a year. It’ll be on going for me just because I don’t want to feel like I’m letting myself down. You did so good though . I’m sure you’ll save in other ways.

Last year I completed the 100 envelope challenge and saved over $5000. Automated saving was the key to my success😊. This year my focus is to pay down my student loan debt BUT I’m also going to do the 100 envelope challenge again in addition to 1 other saving challenge. Hopefully, I can do both - save and crush some debt. We shall see.

I was talking to my husband the other day about instead of me leaving my challenge money just sitting there go ahead and pay on our debt instead of waiting to make large payment. It just makes sense.

Totally understand, I'm thinking about putting mine on hold to pay off debt instead.

I'm saving $25 each time. Its a consistent amount, so it works for me. Instead of trying to budget beforehand & adjust other expenses just to fulfill the challenge. Do what works for you. That's my intake on saving $1, 000.
Don't know if I may extent it to 52, which I've done before. As long as you're able to save some amount, is all that matters. No matter if because of life purposes you end it halfway of finish it completely. A win is a win.
