What a hot mess the world of POD 'advice' has become on here. Everything you said in this video is in direct opposition to something some other 'POD seller' has told us to do (i.e. don't focus on quantity--work on quality items and let your SEO do the work. If you have good listings they will sell blah blah blah). What is actually the truth? Sooner or later people will stop turning to videos like these. I appreciate you making the video (which you most likely do for income as well, and I can appreciate that), but I really wish someone would start showing us some ACTUAL proof that these things work. The great and mighty Oz is working hard behind that green curtain, but I'm ready for one of y'all to tell us the truth and show us receipts.

Guilty of almost everything on this list, haha 😅 perfectionism is a form of procrastination. I remind myself of this every time I spend too long on a design or a description or SEO. I want the listing to be right the first time around so I don't have to go back and change anything, especially if I have 100+ listings 😵 Anither downfall of beginning sellers is designing for what THEY might like. To this I say, do what John Mayer does: "One for me, one for them".

I started a brand new shop on Etsy with Printify and mainly want to sell decals and sticker but I am not understanding how I can compete when Shipping cost for those items is almost $5.00 on Printify? There's no space for me to price competitively.

Hi there, thanks for your honesty and giving us real info when it comes to POD. I have been doing alot research and worked on many items, I am confident in my brand etc etc. Although, my set back into fully 'starting' is what you mentioned 'Paying the wholesale cost'. Too many youtubers make it seem like its a free business to create things but I know with out sourcing comes investment. Would you advice someone who doesn't really have the finances to 'hold off' on starting a small business? should I move to digital products instead?
