The PS design of controller got me since Dual Shock... I hate to play on anything else than a PS design. PS2 was my last Playstation and than I moved on to PC. I have now some extra money and I planed to bring back the comfort of a PS pad to my PC, but I'm hasitating a bit because of the lack of support in games. I realy don't want an Xbox pad but maybe the DS getting better support with time.

Surprised gyro didn't come up here. Dualsense is one of the best controllers you can get for an accurate gyroscope.

Gyro allows for super precise aiming and it's really fast and satisfying to use when paired with a flick stick config. I regularly beat players with a mouse and that's without any aim assist to balance things out

I own a Ps4 Dualshock controller for over 7 years and these things are of an amazing build quality.Only very recently has it developed sporadic stick drift, not because of the usual reasons, but because the plastic of the left thumb stick itself has become so worn out from pressing it down so much that this stick now has some play and can now quite easily be pulled upwards a little bit. when this happens it causes a little stick drift because the friction stops the stick from being perfectly centered. After 7 years and over 3000 hours of play with it and never having had any other issues, I consider that perfectly acceptable. Also the USB port on the front it a little worn, but I just went and got me a charging station with a clip that sits in there nicely so that solved the issue for me. the usb port still works fine, it's just finnicky like old USB ports of this type generally tend to become.

I almost just went and bought another Dualshock controller to replace my old one, but because the price difference between PS5 Dualsense and Ps4 Dualschock controllers is so minor, i went and got the new PS5 controller.
And it is even better, just all the way. Everything is a little better, most notably the Adaptive triggers the haptic feedback and ruble as well as the Gyro sensors, which i never used but might start using soon, as they're finally accurate enough to really be useful.


I personally believe there's no better (standard manufacturer's) controllers for PC than the Playstation ones.
Yes they're often not fully supported, and I use the free tool named DS4 Windows as a workaround, but that is really no big deal at all in my view.
DS4 Windows works great, rarely ever crashes or freezes up, and it gives plenty of options to customize the controller and to remap functions.
When you get all nerdy with DS4 and spend the time to fiddle around with the trigger settings, you will find it can almost make your controller be as good as a 'professional' high end one with very responsive hair trigger style of behavior that can be very quickly fired in rapid succession.
(For those who know and use DS4 Windows and play shooter games with the controller, I strongly recommend to go into the profile settings and try out the Two Stage Trigger Modes for L2 and R2, specifically the 'Hair Trigger' option combined with the 'Easeout Quadratic' or the 'Easeout Cubic' output curve. You will see that this setting will give you a very fast and responsive trigger, that you don't need to release much at all to depress it again for quick succession and it works well with just about any weapon in FPS that I've tried it with so far. I could not find a better quick trigger action and feel for a comparable price on any other controller, than this setup in DS4 Windows will give you.)

Hi, i've a little quastion to you. Have you done something with this anoying linear vibraction? when i was using dualshock 4 i had very comfortable vibractions. Sometimes they were gentle and sometimes they were hard, it depends on gameplay. now i have same vibrations to all of these interactions. Do you know any soluction? I will be wery gratfull if you help me.

Great video. Is there any imput lag while wireless or wired? I have an Astro c40 that still works fine, but it is a bit old and is starting to have some issues. I have a ps5 and an extra new controller in the box. Thinking about upgrading that with back paddles to replace my astro

When using Dualsense X, is there a way to increase intensity of audio haptics(usb) for non native games, most games it's fine, but I'm playing God of War and it's barely noticeable. Also I'm assuming it never came out of beta, but there is no option for Gyro aiming, just gyro sensitivity?
