Many people wonder whether it’s possible to get enough calcium without dairy. And this is a question that often comes up in the vegan community.

It can be difficult to meet the recommended daily intake of 1,000 mg of calcium per day by relying on whole plant foods alone.

This causes some people to wonder whether getting this much calcium is truly needed on a vegan diet. And whether perhaps vegans require less calcium than meat eaters.

Yes but we need to maintain a calcium -magnesium balance .Taking a calcium supplements can block absorption of magnesium where as eating collards etc provides cal-mag in the correct balance and also provides vitamin K which si also necessary for calcium absorption

Btw. Phytates bind calcium and Oxalic acid hinders its absorbtion. That also important when looking at vegetables :)
Did you know that calcium is essential for living and constant in your blood, in order to measure ones deficiency you have to do a bone density test, because when on low levels the body takes it out of your bones and teeth in order to have enough to work with elsewhere in your body :0
