FOLLOW THIS GUIDE FOR THE QUICKEST WAY TO APPLY TO DPT SCHOOL!
This video gives you step by step instructions on how to take the RIGHT prerequisite physical therapy courses to accelerate you into DPT admissions.

Dont waste your time taking unnecessary courses that DO NOT fulfill DPT prerequisite requirements. Take courses that not only check off undergraduate graduation requirements but also move you forward to achieving DPT prerequisites.

*Do your own research on specific schools. They have their own specific list of prerequisite requirements, but this is a list of courses that GENERALLY meet MOST programs.

PREREQUISITE COURSES:
1 year of Biology (with lab)
1 year of Chemistry (with lab)
1 year of Physics (with lab)

I’m a mom that has takin my daughter to PT at least three times a week, for at least three years now. I work with her at home myself as well. So thankful to the PT’s out there. I found this informative.

Would it practically also be wise if I were to get a Bachelors in Business Admin instead of any of the science majors and take the science pre reqs along the way? The reason I wanted to ask this is because this is another alternative route of mine as a backup plan if things don't go well, like not getting accepted in any pt schools the first time I apply. Plus I want to save time if I ever change my mind for good reasons to move onto another career with a business degree if I ever change my mind to commit again for applying to pt schools the following year and so on.... I have had a head start back in high school with taking anatomy/physiology and also a sports medicine class. Im also a fitness enthusiast with the healthy lifestyle like you are :)

I finished 20 hours of shadowing at my hospital with a PT. I know I need more hours and I'm going to try to shadow an outpatient physical therapy location and then maybe a rehab facility. I'm working on taking my GRE this month (January 2024) then I'll try to work on my PS at the same time. I do need to retake some classes but trying to find the money is very hard for me. I'm gonna try to do Uber eats to make some side money to pay for classes.

Just found your profile and am super excited, loved the video!! Exactly the kind of information I know a lot of people are looking for :). But I have a question I was hoping to get your take on. I just finished up my first year at community college and I was thinking about taking all the required prerequisite courses while I an here at community to save money and so when I transfer to a 4 year I just take the upper division major classes and then get that degree and apply to a dpt program. I am concerned that some programs may look down on me taking the classes at a community college instead of the university though, whats your opinion? Thanks in advance

How heavily do the schools look at gpa? Would a low to mid 3 take me off their radars even if I have tons of clinical hours and good recs? I might not be the best student but my passion for pt is unmatched imo

So my schools biology program literally sucks everyone I know fails terribly. I’m taking the rest of my pre reqs but opting on possibly taking bio at a community college

Hi, Just stumbled across your page and I've been watching a lot of your videos lately to prepare for my applications soon! I'm a senior at CSUF plan on applying to PT school this summer or next summer. I was wondering if you knew what the specific stats course that APU requires? I took a "Measurement and Statistics in Kinesiology" course at CSUF but I'm not sure if that class counts towards APU's stats requirement. It'd be much appreciated if you can clear this up for me! I hope to get into APU since it's such a great program and is close to home.

if i was working on a degree unrelated to science in undergrad, would i take those prereqs on the side or wait till i graduate? because i’m thinking about taking those courses at a local community college after graduating, but i don’t know if they would qualify. love the vids man!

Hey‼️ So I know this a video from a little while back, but I was wondering if you could help me out?! So I’m a senior in High School and I know 100% that I want to be a Physical Therapist. The downside is I have ZERO clue on what to do. What colleges should I look at? I wanted to major in kinesiology but I’ve heard both good and bad about that Major when it comes to getting into a PT school. What do you think about Kinesiology? Anything would help‼️ thank youuuu.

What is your take on a 3+3 DPT program? How does it compare to the normal route where you receive your bachelors degree and go on to receive your DPT?
