A former Secret Service agent is defending the agency’s response in Pennsylvania and suggesting resources may have been stretched thin at the time of the assassination attempt of Donald Trump.

Mark O’Riordan worked for more than a decade in the agency and now lives in western Washington.

He said that campaign rallies involving a candidate are usually staffed differently than a standing president. However, he added that the Secret Service also relies on local law enforcement to patrol the perimeter or exterior of a secured rally site.

They fucking allowed it that's why

Why does it take more resources for one person to tell Trump not to get on stage?

Kimberly told them to stand down. They allowed it to happen.

He's not just a candidate, he is also a former president. They are at his side for life.

Those who were in charge of the Secret Service should be charged with assessor to 1st degree murder.

Now its an hour. Not 2 minutes, that got turned into 26 minutes. If he was a person of interest for an hour how in the actual hell was he able to get on a roof with a rifle

Excuses… he isn’t just “a candidate” he’s a former president. Fire everyone working that day.

They knew about him 10 minutes before Trump took to the stage. 🤦‍♀️ it's indefensible.

We're to believe that a 20 year old kid, who according to his high school rifle team, couldn't hit the broad side of a barn and was pointed out by bystanders, out witted the Secret

“…this building, outside the perimeter….” The point is that that group of buildings SHOULD HAVE BEEN INSIDE THE PERIMETER! Come on, man!

BS. There were multiple resources IN the building, in the one next to it and hanging around them. This was part of the general security plan.

Maybe we would have had those resources had the current administration not given all that money to a foreign engagement.

It was a set up. So sad anyone would even attempt to defend or make excuses.

Why is literally every special forces sniper calling bullshit on this statement?

Absolutely about resources. Trump has asked for increased security, Administration denied it.

It appears the SS snipers were in CLEAR view of the assassin the whole time, but they waited until the assassin was done shooting, they then shot the assassin. For instance, SS snipers DID NOT scramble to new position(s)…and you can see time line…their response to kill the assassin…was immediate.
